Wood Auto Supplies Limited is one of the leading independent manufacturers and distributors
of auto-electrical components in the United Kingdom. Established in 1929 by Mr Reginald
Wood as a battery repair and servicing company, it quickly expanded to become one of the
UK's leading manufacturers of alternator, starter motor, and dynamo components.
Today, based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, Wood Auto operates from a 100,000sqft warehouse
and manufacturing facility, with additional distribution warehouses in Belfast and Bracknell.
We are one of the country's leading distributors and exporters of aftermarket auto-electrical
products.

We are proud to have one of the broadest ranges of rotating machines in the aftermarket, with
currently over 5,000 different alternators and starters, and over 30,000 associated components.
Our impressive list of stock items grows daily and covers rotating electrical products and
sub-components for standard passenger vehicles, commercial, marine, industrial, and agricultural
applications. Furthermore, our personal approach to all our customers means that we welcome
enquiries for non-catalogued items; where we will endeavour to source or remanufacture the unit
or component concerned. Wherever possible, our products are sold on an outright basis, without the
need for surcharge and return of old core.
Our workshops and manufacturing facility greatly complement our distribution operation. We manufacture
starter armatures, field coils, solenoids, pinions, and voltage regulators ranging from small
batches for niche market applications through to scheduled production for large international clients.
Our engineers and skilled technicians also offer a bespoke service for one-off repair, rewind, and
remanufacture of vintage motors.

Wood Auto offers a same day despatch service for all orders within the UK, and we actively export to
over 80 countries worldwide. We have no minimum order size and we will happily despatch orders from a
small packet through to a multi-pallet consignment. Premium delivery options are also available and
special packaging and labelling requirements can also be catered for.
Our website contains a market-leading database of alternator and starter motor cross-references as well
as comprehensive bill of materials, accompanied by detailed pictures and technical information. Our
account customers also have access to online ordering and stock enquiry facilities. The website offers
