Terms of Business

Strict Nett Monthly Account
Please note that the minimum invoice value of £5.00 plus VAT must apply to all sales in order to cover printing, administration and data processing costs.

Guarantee
Add goods are guaranteed for 12 months from date of purchase against defects due to faulty materials or workmanship. This does not extend to defects caused by wear and tear, neglect or accident nor consequential damage, costs or injury howsoever caused.
This guarantee does not apply to the following conditions:
Armatures, Rotors, and Stators:
· Complete burn out due to open circuit or faulty regulators.
· Thrown solder due to excessive charging or overloading.
· Scratched cores due to faulty installation.
Generators and Alternators:
· Damaged bearings and bushes due to faulty installation.
· Damaged diodes due to faulty installation.
Starter Motors:
· Burn out due to overloading or freewheel cranking of gear reduction units.

Specials
We offer a rewind / rebuild service for armatures, stators, field coils, starter motors, alternators, and dynamos not listed in our catalogues. When submitting the old unit via a representative or carrier, please include relevant alternator, dynamo,
starter motor references and applications.

Reservation of Title
Due to the large number of individual part numbers and references and the unique applications
of individual parts and supplies it is recognised by the Buyer that it is outside the bounds of
normal possibility for any parts or supplies of the same part number or reference on the Buyer's
premises not to relate to parts and supplies of the same number or reference supplies by the company.
Notwithstanding delivery and passing of the risk, legal and beneficial ownership shall remain in the
Company until full payment for the goods has been made. Until ownership passes the Buyer shall hold the
goods as Bailee for the Company and must keep the goods but shall at all times remain accountable to the
Company on a fiduciary basis in respect of the goods or the proceeds of sale of the goods until payment
in full has been made to the Company.
The Company and its associated companies shall be entitled to repossess all goods not paid for in any sum
due in respect remain unpaid by due date. The Company and its associated companies may enter upon the
premises of the Buyer to repossess such goods.

Prices
Prices shall be as ruling at the date of despatch. Prices may be increased by the Company to the extent
necessary to enable the Company to recover increases in costs incurred by the Company prior to despatch.

Quotations
Quotations do not constitute an offer and shall not bind the company until an order has been placed and accepted.
|
Statutory Rights
All orders whether oral or written are subject to these terms but nothing in these terms shall be deems to affect
the statutory rights of the Buyer.

Return of Goods

Return of unwanted goods
Our sanction must be obtained for the return of goods for credit in accordance with customer's order.
The right is reserved to make a handling charge of up to 15% to cover administration costs.

Surcharges
Surcharges are applied to exchange units and certain armatures, rotors and stators.
Surcharge costs are as follows:

The applicable surcharge code for each exchange unit is displayed in the price list.
Other surcharges are advised at the time of order placement.

Conditions for Return of Old Core
Old cores will only be accepted for credit providing they are returned with the yellow surcharge ticket
supplied with the replacement unit or component.
Starters will not be accepted if:
· The starter returned is not identical in application to the starter supplied.
· The unit is partially or completed dismantled.
· Any components are missing.
· Brackets are cracked, damaged or deformed.
· Water exposure has lead to excessive corrosion to the terminals, brackets or drive.
· The unit is completely burnt out or displays signs of fire damage.
Alternators will not be accepted if:
· The alternator returned is not identical in application to the alternator supplies.
· The unit is partially or completely dismantled.
· The unit is seized.
· Any components are missing.
· Brackets are cracked, damaged of deformed.
· Mounting holes are elongated.
· Any air circulation fins are broken or missing.
· The original pulley is damaged or not returned with the unit.
· The original vacuum pump is not returned with the unit (where applicable).
· Water exposure has lead to excessive corrosion to terminals, brackets or stator.
· The unit is completely burnt out of displays signs of fire damage.
